The Ohio Haunted Trail

Ohio's haunted record runs statewide. River cities keep century-old theaters and courthouses on the ghost registers, and nearly every state university has its own campus legend. A handful of former asylums and jails have gone further, running paid overnight investigations booked well in advance. Cincinnati and Cleveland hold the densest concentrations at opposite ends of the state, with smaller cities in between adding their own hotels, cemeteries, and parks. More than two hundred stops make up the network. The featured route stays in the northeast corridor, a loop built for readers who want Rust Belt theaters and one grand Gilded Age estate in a single trip.
