The Michigan Haunted Trail

Michigan's haunted map runs on institutions: lumber-era libraries and opera houses in the west, lighthouse coasts up north, and a state capitol with four reported figures in the middle. Roughly 180 published stops spread across every region of the state, from Detroit's theaters to the Lake Superior shore, most of them free or cheap to visit and open to anyone with an afternoon. The featured loop below is the curated weekend cut of this network, six daytime stops and a set of historic inns threaded through the southern Lower Peninsula; the rest of the map is yours to wander at whatever pace the season allows.
