The Oklahoma Haunted Trail

Oklahoma's haunted landscape traces the state's short, fast history, from the land runs and oil booms that built it to a statehood that didn't arrive until 1907. Tulsa's Art Deco theaters and dance halls carry the western-swing and jazz-era stories, while Oklahoma City holds its own courthouse and hotel lore, and small towns across the rest of the state fill out the map with jails and depots. Close to eighty venues make up the network so far, most clustered along the old rail and highway corridors. The featured weekend loop arcs from Norman through Guthrie to Enid, six daylight stops and three overnight hotels for the drive north.
