The Colorado Haunted Trail

Colorado's haunted history runs from Denver's downtown hotels and a city park built over a forgotten cemetery, up through mountain mining towns where Victorian hotels never really closed for the season. More than 130 documented stops span courthouses, opera houses, and high-altitude trails where nineteenth-century mining fortunes and losses still shape the buildings left behind. A handful of sites carry real historical weight, and we present those with care instead of packaging them as entertainment. The Gold Belt loop through Manitou Springs and Cripple Creek is one focused weekend cut through that larger landscape, built for a two-day drive.
