The Nevada Haunted Trail

Nevada's haunted history runs on mining money, most of it made and lost within a single generation along the Comstock Lode. Boomtowns rose overnight around Virginia City and the Carson Valley; decades later Las Vegas took over as the state's engine of fast fortunes and faster ruin, adding mob ties and casino floors to the record. Roughly seventy entries currently span the state, from silver-rush saloons to Strip-era hotels. The featured loop follows the older money north from Carson Valley through boomtown saloons to Reno, four Comstock-era lodgings included, a weekend built around Nevada's first fortune rather than its most recent one.
