Yorktown Ghosts, US Ghost Adventures' Yorktown brand, operates a nightly walking tour meeting outside historic York Hall at 301 Main St. The roughly 1-hour, 1-mile route covers real 18th-century structures tied to the 1781 Siege of Yorktown, the decisive final battle of the Revolutionary War.
The route passes the Swan Tavern, which opened in 1722 and was largely destroyed by fire in 1863 before being reconstructed; a 1935 excavation on the property reportedly turned up human remains. It also covers the Nelson House, built in 1745 and owned by the Nelson family, descendants of Revolutionary War hero Thomas Nelson Jr., which served as a military hospital during both the Revolutionary War and the Civil War. Cornwallis's Cave, used by British General Lord Cornwallis's forces while under bombardment from Colonial troops and later by Union soldiers during the Civil War, is also a featured stop.

According to the operator, an ominous cloaked figure has been reported at Swan Tavern since 1877, following the 1935 discovery of a skeleton on the property during reconstruction. At Nelson House, the operator describes three entities said to wander the home nightly, including the household's Revolutionary War-era dead; the operator also names John 'Jackie' Custis, George Washington's stepson, who died of illness during the siege, as a spirit reported near the Yorktown Battlefield Visitor Center. At Cornwallis's Cave, the operator describes reports of demonic chants and moans tied to the British and Confederate soldiers who sheltered there.
