Before its 2006 sale and restoration, the abandoned Old Parkland Hospital complex was a recurring subject of regional paranormal lore tied to its long use as a public hospital. Specific haunting claims from that period circulated primarily through community submissions on amateur ghost-tracking websites and lack independent newspaper or historical-society corroboration.

In January 2007, with demolition and reconstruction underway, the new ownership posted notice that the property was private, that trespassers would be prosecuted, and that no inquiries about paranormal access would be entertained. Several arrests were made during that period.

The site as it exists today is a fully restored private office campus. Any haunting lore associated with the abandoned hospital is historical rather than current; the active campus does not market or acknowledge paranormal content, and the public has no interior access. Visitors interested in the building's architecture should view it from Maple Avenue and not attempt to enter the grounds.
