Budd Lake is a 175-acre natural lake in Clare County, Michigan, anchoring the small resort town of Harrison. The lake has been ringed with seasonal cottages and year-round homes since the late nineteenth-century logging era, and the Budd Lake Association maintains records of shoreline residences and water-quality programs.
No independent documentary record substantiating a notable history for a specific Reinke family residence on the lake has been located in searches of Clare County historical sources, regional newspapers, or Michigan Department of Natural Resources records. The property is treated here as a private home referenced only through an anonymous community-submitted folklore account.

The Reinke House folklore originates from a single anonymous community submission describing reported phenomena experienced by an unnamed family living on Budd Lake. The submission describes the mother of the household seeing twin daughters, around six years old, holding hands and walking past her in the kitchen and continuing out toward the lake.
Additional accounts in the same submission describe a tall male figure first observed by the father of the household through a second-floor bedroom window while he was tying up a boat at the dock. The same figure is later reported by the daughter of the household, who described seeing the man inside her bedroom closet illuminated by an unexplained light source. A subsequent reported episode describes the daughter returning home to find her bedroom disturbed and items thrown from the closet. The son of the household reports an intermittent bouncing-ball sound from the attic above his bedroom.
The account is unattributed, has no independent corroboration in regional news archives or Michigan paranormal investigation reports, and is presented here as local family folklore rather than verified phenomena.
