During the Ivy House Inn's bed-and-breakfast era under Tom and Kathy Johnson, the property became known for a body of guest and owner-reported phenomena. Reports include car alarms activating in a parking area constructed on top of what had been the original 1916 sitting room (especially after 2:30 am and into late morning), the apparition of a former owner moving from room to room, the sounds of small catlike animals running through halls and up stairs, cold spots in the house, and photographs allegedly showing anomalies and vortices. The original 1916 sitting room reportedly featured a "traveling cloud" before its demolition for parking. Owner Tom Johnson initially did not believe in ghosts but reported a change of perspective during the inn's renovations. The property is now Turning Point Self-Help Center and is not open for paranormal investigation.

This venue now operates as a community services center (Turning Point Self-Help Center) and is not open to casual visitors — appreciate from the public sidewalk only.
